Obituary of Shirley Gallant

Our beloved Shirley Gallant,  left this world peacefully, surrounded in the warmth and love of her family on Wednesday, July 31st, 2024,

Shirley was more than a cherished wife; she was the heart and soulmate of Doug Gallant, her best friend and confidant through life's incredible journey.

Shirley’s love as a mother was boundless, nurturing her beloved children, Jennifer LeClair (Dan Jones) and Ryan Gallant, with devotion that knew no limits. Her spirit will echo forever in the hearts of her precious grandchildren—Meghan (Jerome), Liam (Julia), Mackenzie, and Launa—who brought her immeasurable joy and pride.

A devoted sister, she is lovingly remembered by Bill LeClair (Sonia) and Gail Jackson (Rick), whose lives were enriched by her presence. The laughter and love she shared will be treasured by her many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, as well as countless cousins, all of whom carry a piece of her spirit within them.

Shirley was preceded in death by her dear parents, Mary and Edmond LeClair, and her beloved sister, Darlene LeClair, who await her in the embrace of eternity.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Huron Shores Hospice, Tiverton, for their exceptional care and compassion during Shirley’s final moments—truly a blessing in a time of sorrow.

As we honour her beautiful memory, a memorial reception will be held on Friday, August 16th, 2024 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Shepherd Village (3760 Sheppard Avenue East).

Interment to follow at St. Johns Norway Cemetery, at 2 p.m., where her loved ones will visit and keep her spirit alive.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made to Huron Shores Hospice, a beautiful expression of the love and sympathy that encapsulates Shirley’s legacy.
