Obituary of Kenneth Schaefer
Kenneth Stanley Schaefer formerly of Teeswater, Kitchener-Waterloo and British Columbia, passed away peacefully at Braemar Retirement Centre, Wingham on Tuesday, July 23rd, 2024, in his 88th year.
Ken was born in Culross Township on April 26th, 1937, to the late Cyril and Angeline (née Kreutzwiser) Schaefer.
Husband of the late Doris Helen (née Voisin) Schaefer and the late Marjorie May (née Zinkan) Schaefer.
Together Doris and Ken had 4 children, Cher (Dennis) McGlynn of Teeswater, Lori (Brad) Muter of Blue Mountain, Todd Schaefer of Waterloo, Brad (Paula) Schaefer of Kitchener, their families include 13 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
Ken’s second marriage welcomed three children, Kathy Watson of Kitchener, Angela Schaefer and Trevor Schaefer both of Belleville, with 9 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
His “golden years” were enjoyed with Marjorie in British Columbia.
Dear brother of Gerry (Elaine) Schaefer of Waterloo and many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by 8 siblings.
Cremation has taken place, a private graveside service will be held at Culross-Teeswater Cemetery.
Memorial donations to Alzheimer Society Huron Perth would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
