Obituary of Mathew Stacey
Mathew Lee Stacey of Teeswater, tragically as the result of a motor vehicle accident on Saturday, August 19th, 2023, at age 22.
Cherished son of Corey Stacey and Kelly Stacey (Joel Newell).
Loved brother of Joel Stacey (Jess McKellar).
Greatly missed by his grandparents, Pat Stacey, Dianne Stacey, Bob and Linda Hollenbeck.
Fondly remembered by aunts and uncles, Jeff Hollenbeck, Kim Hebden (Adam), Rhonda Stacey, Trevor Stacey (Rachel) and Dave Fritz, and cousins, Ethan and Alexis Hebden, Tyler Stacey, Jocelyn and Rory Fritz, Braxton and Brielle Stacey.
Memories of Mat will remain with his many friends, teammates and extended family, Charmane Newell and Devon Newell.
Predeceased by his grandfathers, Danny Stacey and Leo Kroeplin.
A memorial service to honour Mathew’s life will be held at the Teeswater-Culross Community Centre (19 Marcy St. E.), on Saturday, August 26th, 2023 at 11:00 a.m., followed by a come and go reception and celebration of life from 12 noon to 4 p.m.
Final resting place Wingham Cemetery.
Memorial donations to the South Bruce Minor Hockey Association would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
