Obituary of Len Baird
Leonard Russell “Len” Baird of R. R. #2 Wingham, passed away peacefully, at Wingham and District Hospital, on Saturday, May 27th, 2023, at age 76.
Beloved husband of Kathleen Baird (née Leddy) for 45 years.
Proud father of Mark Baird and his wife Dana and their son River, and Shawn Baird.
Remembered by his siblings, Shirley McLeod (Doug), Clayton Baird (Marilyn), Doug Baird (Stella) and Ross Baird (Suzanne).
Dear brother-in-law of Denny Leddy (Aileen), Cathy Leddy, Maureen Thomson (Bruce), Bernadette Andrews (Bill), Ann Marie Tiffin (Bevin) and Elizabeth Moore.
Sadly missed by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, neighbours, friends and fellow hunting buddies.
Predeceased by his parents, Russell and Edna (née MacAdam) Baird, brother Lorne Baird and in-laws Kenny Leddy, Billy Leddy (Jean), Monica Fear, Alvin Moore and Danny Leddy and nephews Brian Leddy and Peter Moore.
A private graveside service will be held.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Oncology Unit – Wingham and District Hospital (Wingham and District Hospital Foundation), The Baker Centre for Pancreatic Cancer – London Regional Cancer Clinic (London Health Sciences Foundation) or St. Augustine Roman Catholic Cemetery would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
