Laura, Richard, Doug, Paul and Peter and all of your families:
Sincerest condolences on the passing of Ellen. What a wonderful woman she was!! I have the greatest memories of her hospitality and warmth and that famous SMILE.
The Hubbard Family would show up at the farm and she would welcome us all. While Dad and Jack had an " interview", Ellen would keep the rest of us entertained with gigantic chalk boards, trips to the barn to feed the pigs, and stomps through her beautiful garden to strip it clean of peas and strawberries. Then she would feed us all.
Belmore Maple Syrup Festival was never done until we went and had pancakes cooked by Ellen.
I am sure you all know how blessed you were to have her for as long as you did. Please know that as you say your final good-byes over the next 2 days, the Hubbard family sends Love and Prayers to you all.
