Obituary of Gilbert Kuenzig

Gilbert Peter “Gib” Kuenzig of Teeswater, passed away at Wingham and District Hospital, on Saturday, January 22nd, 2022, in his 90th year. Beloved husband of the late Yvonne (née Schiestel) Kuenzig (1992). Loving father of Ken Kuenzig, Suzanne (Sandy) Henry, Kim (Robert) MacDonald, Cindy (Ken) Tervit and Nancy (Rick) Voisin. Missed by his grandchildren, Bill (Shannon) Henry, Stacy (Kevin) Hogg, Shawn (Carolyn) MacDonald, Drew (Heidi) MacDonald, Melissa Tervit, Jaide (Tyler) Campbell, Jeremy (Crystal) Voisin, Ashley (Travis) Inglis and 20 great-grandchildren. Fondly remembered by his brother Charlie (Ruth) Kuenzig, brother-in-law Francis (Juanita) Schiestel, sister-in-law Jean Schiestel and numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents, Alfred and Florina (née Kunkel) Kuenzig, sisters Marguerite (Bill) McCormick (Henry Schaefer) and Bette (Howard) Poechman, brother Gerald Kuenzig, father and mother-in-law Alex and Irene (née Willie) Schiestel and brothers-in-law Bill (Maude) Schiestel, Joe Schiestel, Doug (Kathy) Schiestel and Ernie Schiestel. Private family Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, Teeswater, with Father Paul Edmondstone officiating. Spring interment Sacred Heart Cemetery Teeswater. Memorial donations to the Teeswater Medical Centre (cheques payable to the Municipality of South Bruce), Teeswater Culross Firefighters Association (cheques payable to the Municipality of South Bruce) or the charity of your choice would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
