Obituary of John Waechter

John Francis Waechter of Formosa, passed away peacefully after a brief illness, at London Health Sciences Centre, University Hospital on Thursday, July 1st, 2021, at the age of 73. Beloved husband of Sharon Waechter (née Weber). Loving father of Mike Waechter (Yosi) of Kitchener, Barb Lehmann (Rob) of Waterloo and Patti Lacey (Devin) of Chepstow. Cherished Papa of Ashley, Zachary, Cole, Jarrett, Curtis, Riley and Brianna and great-grandpa of Toby. Remembered by his siblings, Geraldine Lehman (Edward) of Baden, Florence Lehman (Frank) of Kitchener, Wally Waechter (Connie) and Alfred Waechter (Diane) all of Formosa. Also survived by in-laws, Sandra Weber, Art Finney, Terry Hewton and Bob Weishar (Eileen), several nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbours, former co-workers and friends. Predeceased by his parents, Edward and Marie (née Flachs) Waechter, sisters Margaret Weishar and Helen Miller (Dave), brother Ken Waechter (Cathy), and father and mother-in-law Isadore and Marie (née Wagner) Weber. A private family service to honour John’s life will be held at the Tiffin Funeral Home, Teeswater on Wednesday, July 7th, 2021, with Father Paul Edmondstone officiating. Final resting place Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Cemetery, Formosa.
