Obituary of Mary Anderson
Mary Margaret Anderson (née Wissler) - Into the light she was born; a light she carried and shared with all those with whom she crossed paths; a light that grew brighter for 81 years. And into the light she returned on January 9th, 2019, resting peacefully and dancing joyfully with her heavenly Father.
Beloved wife of the late Donald Anderson, who predeceased her in 1988. Dear companion of Cliff Carleton of Owen Sound.
Dear mother of Darrell Anderson (Colleen) of Teeswater, Dawn Marie “Dolly” Anderson (John) of Walparous, Alberta, Craig Anderson (Linda) of Teeswater, Nancy MacDonald (Steve) Cobourg, Kelly Anderson (Kevin) of R.R. #2 Bluevale and Sandy Anderson (Linda) of Teeswater.
Missed by her grandchildren, Phillip, Marshall, Conor, Cody, Kelsey, Courtney, Whitney, Jeran, Jayden and Landon and great-grandchildren, Sawyer, Shea and Otto.
Fondly remembered by sisters-in-law Arlene Mulligan and Marie Virtue and several nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her parents, Otto and Mary (née Schneider) Wissler, great-grandson Aceyn Bross, brothers Leonard Wissler (Joan), Clayton Schneider (Shirley) and sisters Teresa Foxton (Ron) and Dorothy MacKinnon.
Behind her tenacity and strength there was always love; love for people – her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, loving partner, friends and neighbours.
Love of activities; skating, dancing, swimming, sewing, knitting and travelling.
But her greatest love was devoted to her faith. “The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous run into it and are safe.” (Proverbs 18:10)
