Obituary of Muriel Sewers

Muriel Jeanette Sewers (née Keith) of St. Marys and formerly of Barrie passed away peacefully at her home with family by her side on Wednesday, March 8th, 2017 in her 82nd year. Beloved wife of Mac Sewers of St. Marys. Loving mother of Marlene Vanesse (Gerald) of Thamesville, Madelyn Moore (Robert) of Green Cove Springs, Florida, Golda Wilson (Richard) of St. Marys and Joyce Roberts (Scott) of Orange Park, Florida. Sadly missed by 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Survived by her brother, David Keith (Ellen) of Belmore, brother-in-law Austin Loree of Lucknow and sisters-in-law Margaret Keith of Goderich and Eleanor Keith of Markham. Fondly remembered by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Duncan and Mary (née Stobo) Keith, brothers Evan Keith, Mac Keith (Fern) and Bob Keith, sisters Marion Reid (John), Irene McAllister (Neil) and Mildred Loree. Visitation will be held at the Tiffin Funeral Home, Teeswater on Sunday from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., where the funeral service to celebrate Muriel’s life will be held on Monday, March 13th, 2017 at 1:30 p.m. with Cathy Sewers officiating. Spring interment Culross-Teeswater Cemetery. Memorial donations to the St. Marys Memorial Hospital Foundation or St. Marys United Church would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
