Obituary of John "Homer" DeRose

John Roy “Homer” DeRose of R. R. #2 Teeswater and formerly of Wellesley, passed away at Wingham & District Hospital on Friday, July 22nd, 2016 in his 70th year. Beloved husband of Margaret DeRose (née Moessner) of R. R. #2 Teeswater. Dear brother of Marianne and Lloyd Schneider of Kitchener, Michael and Patricia DeRose of Drayton, Suzanne and Albert Keinapple of Dundalk, Carol DeRose of Ottawa and Mark and Angela DeRose of Prescott. Fondly remembered by several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. Also survived by his mother-in-law Lore Moessner and sister-in-law Ingrid Horst (Bill) all of Brunner. Predeceased by his parents Vernon and Patricia (née Colyer) DeRose, sister Tamaris DeRose and father-in-law Erwin Moessner. Visitation will be held at the Tiffin Funeral Home, Teeswater on Wednesday from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m., where the memorial service to celebrate John’s life will be held on Thursday, July 28th, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. with Ann Maycock officiating. Memorial donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
